Fashion is entering the ring this year at the historic Royal Bath & West Show, June 2nd-5th.

The famous show
, which takes place at the showground near Shepton Mallet, in Somerset, and which celebrates all things agricultural and rural, is organising its first-ever Ladies Day.
The leading British designer, Alice Temperley, has been chosen as the judge for Ladies' Day, and will be on hand to find ‘Best Hat in Show’. She will visit the Bath & West on Thursday, June 3rd, to select thewinner and says: “I’ll be on the lookout for those hats with some British originality.”

In addition, the Bath & West is celebrating with the opening of a new boutique-style marquee, ‘Green and Gorgeous’, within the flagship ‘EcoZone’, which will showcase the latest ethical fashion and accessories.
Companies exhibiting in Green and Gorgeous include NV London Calcutta, which specialises in handmade, ethical accessories; Earth Origin, which creates handbags from natural materials, such as organic cotton and bamboo; and Aspara, the Fairtrade company set up last year by the former UN field worker and aid consultant, Katy Pullen. Inspired by the revival of the silk weaving craft in Cambodia, after three decades of conflict, Pullen has accumulated a team of artisans from rural communities to weave the silks for her distinctive clutches, handbags, wraps and scarves.
